Good Girl! I am so jealous...I still can't eat grits!!! Enjoy the lack of appetite and force feeding while you have it. One day it will end. Then the struggle gets a little harder! Leisa

They feel like they are blowing up in my tummy!!! In the beginning pasta and rice did the same thing. But now I can tolerate some pastas. Still can't do rice very well either. But as you know...every pouch is different! Hope Susanne is doing well! Give her a big upstate hug when you visit today!!! Leisa

THANKS FOR THE INFO, MS LEISA ... THAT MAKES SENSE. WE WENT TO A MUSC SUPPORT MEETING & LADIES A YEAR OUT SAID THAT RICE & PASTA SWELL IN YOUR POUCH & IT REALLY, REALLY HURTS. IT ISN'T YOUR POUCH ... THEY DON'T HAVE A WEBSITE YET ... OK Carbs Harbison Court 252-Z Harbison Blvd (Next to Outback Steakhouse) Columbia, SC 29210 Phone number (803) 732-0122 MS SHANNON POSTED ABOUT THIS PLACE. SUSANN IS DOING FANTASTICALLY. I TALKED TO HER HUBBY YESTERDAY & TO HER TODAY. SHE IS REALLYYYYYYYYY SURPRISED AT HOW GOOD SHE FEELS. I LOVED SAYING "I TOLD YOU SO" CUZ I REALLY PRAYED OVER THAT GIRL; DIDN'T WANT HER GOING THROUGH AN OPEN! SHE PASSED THE SWALLOW TEST ... IS DRINKING HER JUICE & IS NO LONGER ON IV FLUIDS. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH ALL THE LEFT OVER FOOD IF IT IS NOT INCORPORATED INTO A FAMILY MEAL? DO YOU JUST REHEAT AS LEFT OVERS LATER? ... OR, IS THERE A LOT OF WASTED FOOD LEFT OVER THAT YOU JUST CAN'T EAT EVEN TRYING TO EAT LEFTOVERS? I'M BASICALLY ON CRYSTAL LITE, MINUTE MAID LITE, HOOD CARB COUNTDOWN MILK DRINK, HIGH PROTEIN PUDDINGS & POPSICLES + MEDS & SUPPLEMENTS. GOD BLESS YOU, MS HEATHER DAWN & NICK

My surgery was on 10/4/05 and I find the same thing happening, I'm eating about the same amount as you are, although I am really pushing the water, I got dehydrated about a week after surgery and that felt lousy, so I concentrate on drinking. Actually I think you are doing pretty good, it looks like you are getting your protein and that is the most important. Have you noticed that things taste so good? I just started adding food and I just marvel at what the tastes are. I think you are all right.
