How has surgery improved your sex life?

ok, so my husband is deployed...and well, he's not here... BUT, I thought i could still ask. any takers ( well, those who haven't had surgery, you can tell us what you might like changed or improved, if anything) in this area.

GOOD GIRL!!! I was wondering who had it in 'em to ask this one? Responsible, well thought out, educator-like answer: (Sitting with hands folded in lap and talking to the computer screen like you can see me) WEll Heather, everyone is different so this area of life is no exception. Hormones are stored in our fat and when we burn it off those hormones "get loose" and do all sorts of things to our bodies. (Some pleasant and some not so much) I have heard some report that their sex drive is decreased and others say that theirs went through the roof! "Tell it like it is" girl answer: (shutting my door and leaning over the desk really close to the computer screen) OH MY GOD!!!!!! YES, YES, YES! er-um...excuse me...Yes it is different and yes it is an improvement!!! In my situation, he was always great. I was the problem. I had gained so much weight that I no longer felt sexy and this inhibits you. Aside from the emotional perspective, the physical chnages are mucho whamo!!! When we lose weight, we are losing EVERYWHERE! As areas become more assessable, I found that my sensitivity went up. (Excuse me, sweetheart, could you peel me off the ceiling?) All sorts of medical reasons for that I am sure that have to do with circulation and such. Whatever the reason... Waaaa HOOOOO! Now if we can just get my husband through back surgery and recovered....ooh I might not ever get back to the message board again! Back to the teacher-voice... Our doctor has warned us about being careful after surgery. Along with the surge of hormones being released comes incresed fertility. You guys really better take care when your hubby gets home! Yes, I will see Wayne for 2 wks this holiday ( like in 2 mths) and i'm so excited about how i will feel having she quite a few pounds. Of course since i saw him last in june, I have lost 40+lbs to date, so he should notice a different me. Plus, i'm sure to lose more weight in the next 2 mths. And i do not want to get pregoo this winter..THAT WOULD BE BADD!!!

I'M NOT SURE I CAN EVEN SAY, "GOD BLESS YOU" (OBVIOUSLY HE ALREADY HAS IN WAYS BEYOND THE NORMAL WEIGHT LOSS) BECAUSE YOU HAVE MY MIND GOING TO ... UHHH ... MMMMM ... I thought my husband was going to burn slap up of embarrassment when Itold him what I had written on here today!!! I reminded him..."Didn't you hear the part where I said You were great!!!" Oh well... gotta be careful what you ask me cause I am gonna tell it!!! LEISA ...and yes I do feel blessed!!!

Hey girl, I sooo wish I could answer this question, but as you know, we are in the same boat with our husbands being deployed.... But I guess I can get back to you on it, LMAO!!!

Hey there! Yes---we are in the same boat. Have you been to the support group at Dr. *****ett's office? I was thinking about trying to go some time. The one i had been going to at Ft. Jackson has much to be desired, but it is close so i go out of convenience sake..

Hey there! I do go to support group meetings at the hospital and it's a good group. The woman who usually heads up the group is out on medical leave right now and she is wonderful. There is a substitute and the guy is good . But you should definitely come if you get a chance. They are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm in the Breast Health Center. ~Shannon
