Hey you guys! I wanted to let you know that Kate and I ran into Barbara at the Halloween Express, and she said although the meeting was cancelled she still went to Applebees. You know, 3 new people showed up. They didn't know that the meeting was cancelled. If I am not mistaken they are 2 pre-ops and 1 post-op. Barbara did invite them back another time when more people are there. I just wanted to give you a heads up. Brittain

My apologies to everyone, work just got CRAZY yesterday and there was no way I could go.......Glad Barbara met some newbies to our group and look forward to seeing them next week. Next week - Noisey Oyster - Be there! (I already told my boss I was going to be there, so not to plan any closings at 3:00 in the afternoon). Susann

HEY MS SUSAN ... WHEN THERE ARE TIMES YOU CAN'T BE THERE, WHY NOT JUST HAVE SOMEONE ELSE STEP IN FOR YOU? NOW, WE KNOW THAT NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT, JUST FOR A TEMPORARY THING ... SOMEONE THAT IS GOING ... THEN, WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO CANCEL! I was in the area last night anyway, so I went and had a cup of coffee and hung out for awhile just in case anyone else showed up. I'm so glad I did. Three very nice ladies came for the first time and we had a real talkathon. Two were pre-op - Nov 2nd, and 22nd, and one was 3 weeks post-op. I hope they'll come back when we're all there, so they can get the "full effect". I agree with Kate about what this group means to me. I feel such a bond with all of you and you mean so much to me. This surgery affects us in ways no one else can understand. I admire each and every one of you for your courage, strength, and determination. And I thank you for your compassion and concern. You guys are the very best!! Looking forward to the Noisy Oyster next week. Love, B

Barb....thanks for being there to welcome the new ladies into the group. I can't wait to meet them and look forward to seeing you all at my "last supper" next week. I am excited, scared, nervous, etc.....but mainly can't wait to get on with it! Susann

Hello Everyone, I am one of the pre-ops that attended the cancelled meeting. Nov. 22 is by date. By the way, My name is Scorro. I had a wonderful time and planning to attended the meeting next week. Barbara was reaaly helpful as well as the other post-op (Donna). Hope to see you there. Bye
