I need your prayers

6 years ago, I had a very rare, slow growing cancer in my right ovary. It was completely encapsulated, did not rupture and they did a complete hysterectomy. The protocal was to do a blood test checking the inhibin hormone level in my blood yearly (the tumor that I had will produce this hormone). I did not have to have chemo or anything. They really downplayed the cancer, and I really haven't given it much thought over the years. I had to get a statement from my doctor that I was cancer-free before I have surgery, so I had the blood test drawn 2 wks ago, and saw the onocologist on Tuesday. Well, the inhibin level in my blood is elevated. They drew blood again (and let me tell you that Paula, who works in the lab at the cancer center in Greenville needs do get a little more practice in again before she sticks me again) to make sure that the lab didn't make a mistake. If it is still elevated, I will have to get a CT scan of my abdomen, to see if they can find a growth. I should hear back by the first of next week. I went ahead to my appointment at Spartanburg Regional, so that if it is nothing, we haven't lost any time in the insurance approval process. I did the personality profile (I'm shy and warm-hearted). And am waiting for a call on my psyc appointment. I'm heading to Atlanta (work) today with a lot on my mind. So, please keep me in your prayers. Hugs, Dianne

OF COURSE YOU HAVE OUR PRAYERS, MS DIANNE ... THERE IS NOTHING STRONGER WHEN WE ARE IN NEED AS YOU ARE NOW. I CHECKED YOUR PROFILE TO BE SURE ... BEING A CHRISTIAN, YOU KNOW THAT "ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THINGS WORK FOR GOOD FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD". NOT JUST A COUPLE THINGS, BUT ALL THINGS, SWEETIE, SO NOT TO WORRY. JUST WALK THE PATH THE LORD HAS LED YOU TO WITH PEACE & ASSURANCE THAT HE IS IN CONTROL. ACTUALLY, I SEE A SILVER LINING IN THIS FOR YOU RIGHT NOW. EVEN BY YOUR OWN WORDS, YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN IT MUCH THOUGHT OVER THE YEARS, SO IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN IT ... MAYBE EVEN UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. IF THERE IS SOMETHING NEEDING MEDICAL ATTENTION, THEN "THANK YOU LORD THAT IT WAS FOUND EARLY & CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF!" IF THIS IS A FALSE ALARM, THEN TAKE THIS AS A REMINDER THAT YOU MUST TAKE TIME OUT OF YOUR BUSY LIFE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. WE'LL ALL BE HERE FOR YOU & YOU CAN E-MAIL ME ANY TIME. I THINK YOU SHOWED GREAT WISDOM & SPIRIT TO CONTINUE WITH YOUR WLS JOURNEY ... IT WILL ALL WORK FOR GOOD, SO DON'T GIVE UP, MS DIANNE. GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

Dawn, Thank you so much for your prayers and just being you!! You have hit the nail on the head (especially using my most favorite verse Romans 8:28)!! I have actually been thinking about that same silver lining that you mentioned today. When they found the cancer in 1999, I had abdomen pain and was running a fever. The fever kind of stumped the doctors, because there was no reason for it (except for the fact that I wouldn't have gone to the doctor if I had not been running the fever...figured that I needed antibiotics or something). If I hadn't gone then, the tumor would have ruptured. I think the same thing holds true today. I'm on this wls journey for a reason. I know that God is in control and everything will work out for His glory!! Thanking and praising Him for EVERYTHING!!! Dianne

YOUR FAITH & ATTITUDE ARE A DELIGHT, MS DIANNE. I SOOO AGREE! SOMETIMES "WE" THROW AROUND "GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS" LIKE IT'S THE LATEST TREND, BUT HE REALLY DOES. IT MAY SEEM LIKE EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG ONLY TO FIND DOWN THE ROAD THAT IN ALL THE "MESS" WE JUST WENT THROUGH, GOD PROTECTED US (LIKE HE DID WITH YOU WITH THE "MYSTERIOUS" FEVER). OUR LIVES ARE NEVER LIKE AN INTERSTATE FREEWAY ... STRAIGHT FROM HERE TO THERE ... IT'S LIKE TAKING THE SMALL COUNTRY ROADS WITH ALL ITS TWISTS & TURNS & WONDERFUL STOPS ALONG THE WAY. JUST KEEP ENJOYING THE ROAD GOD HAS PUT YOU ON & WE'LL RIDE ALONG WITH YOU, SWEET LADY! GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS & LEAD YOU DAWN & NICK
