Howdy Upstate and all Carolina Girls!

I am back from my trip to Houston and have been playing "catch-up" at work so I haven't been able to post in a while. Just thought I would say Hi and Happy WEdnesday! Dianne has her meeting today in Spartanburg. I know you are excited ,girl! Let us here and update real soon. Allison and Dawn, your guys did a great job starting the group!! I agree that we all click. I spoke to my sister-in-law and she is willing to do a "play in the make-up", "give each other facials" night. If I can arrange it on a night when I can send the dog for an over night at the trainer/groomer , we can do it at my house. Ya'll let me know when you think we are ready to see each other without our faces on! Midstate is starting a group, too! Good luck to them. Low Country, yall have a great meeting tomorrow! Hey GIRL! It's good to see you back safe and sound. Did you have fun on your trip? I bet you did. I'm not picky on the date so anytime is good for me. We could even do it at my house if you wanted too so it doesn't matter just let me know. Diane, I hope we hear a surgery date from you real soon. I know it had to be boring listening to us talk about this stuff. My friend is having her surgery w/Dr. Nosey LOL in 4 days!

To be honest, Dawn, I have had much better trips. But it was a worthwhile conference. I learned a lot. I don't think we actually talked about an exact date for our next meeting but my DH is having back surgery on November 8th so I will be tied up that weekend. I can do 11/5 or 11/19 though. I think my sis-in-law will be more available after the first of the year so I will plan to host that one. It would be more convenient for her to stay in Simpsonville. I also had a thought or two about shopping when you guys noticed my Goodwill bags. How about a clothing exchange? Also, Don't know how adventurous you guys are with your shopping but on Haywood Road Goodwill has a "Clearance Center". The clothes are not orginized AT ALL!!! They are thrown into these huge bin/tables and you just dig until you find a prize piece. At check out, they weigh your selections and you pay .99/lb. It comes out very cheap. My first trip I got two blazers, two pair of slacks and two pair of jeans for $5.96. What about an afternoon of hunting and then eating when we are done. There are tons of places on Haywood Road to eat. Prices range from Wendy's (chili and salad might be a good choice) to City Range. Or we could check out several Goodwill shops ending in S'ville and go back to my house for a "fashion show" and meal. OR the pedicure person that Allison was talking about might be fun. I am game for anything. I think I am going to have to catch the next training class that comes around. The only sessions left are all on the same day and I cannot committ to 4.5 hours on the phone at one shot. However, I think they have classes just about every month or two. So where does Dr. Nosey practice? BusyBody General? Leisa

I'm slowly trying to get my schedule to be off on Wednesdays and Sundays (hate working sundays!!). So that means that I will be working on Saturdays (unless I have to change something for dr appts, etc. over the next few weeks). But, I can meet up with you guys after I get off of work on either of those Saturdays. Just let me know... Dianne

Ms. Dawn, My most sincere of apologies! I would never intentionally slight my low-county sisters. That is why the shout out went to all "Carolina" girls. I am game to get down to Chuck-town. I am hoping for a trip soon. Ihave been promising my baby sister that we were gonna go "hunting" together. I love the movie reference. I haven't been for a visit in months and need to get down there and see my nieces. The five year old keep asking me on the phone..." how skinny are you now"? They haven't seen me in about 30 lbs. I will e-mail ya when I get a trip and maybe we can meet up! The upstate group hasn't come up with a name yet... maybe that can be the topic of our next meeting!
