QUESTIONS FOR PRE-OP?????????????
I made sure that I asked about the nauseating effects of the anesthesia, I had a fear of getting dehydrated. The anestheseologist (yes I know this is spelled wrong) was great about making sure that my "****tail" would be as tummy friendly as possible.
I also asked lots of questions about the breathing tube and the nose tube, I had never had major surgery before so I had lots of fears. Dr. Byrnes or his PA will do a really thorough physical and are great about questions.
I just wanted to go into surgery knowing all that I could and what to expect when I woke up. I went in with the attitude that I would not let this surgery make me too ill. I was lucky to have no complications, but I also think that my mindset helped me get back to normal.
I have sensitive skin and if I had to do it again I would have brought in my own tape for the dressings. I still have rashes from them being pulled off. Sorry I am writing a book, I am just so excited for you. I will also takes lots of notes from Dr. Oh, I see a tummy tuck in my future
Feel better
Mary
THANKS MARY ... YOU WERE VERY HELPFUL & I TRULY APPRECIATE IT!
I HAVE A SENSITIVE STOMACH AS WELL. I'VE ORDERED SOME "QUEASY POPS" FROM PHILLYPHARMACY.COM (I THINK IT IS) ... IT'S ALL NATURAL HERBS IN LOLLY POP FORM TO HELP WITH THE UPSET STOMACHS & NAUSEA.
I'VE BEEN UNDER BEFORE FOR GALL BLADDER REMOVAL & DID FAIRLY WELL EXCEPT MY "SWAY BACK" KILLED ME SINCE I HAD TO LAY FLAT FOR SO LONG.
YEP, THE TUBES DO BOTHER ME ESPECIALLY IN THE NOSE & DOWN MY THROAT AS I HAVE TO USE A CPAP MACHINE SO THERE WILL NEED TO BE SOME ADJUSTMENT.
I'VE NEVER HAD EXCEPTIONALLY SENSITIVE SKIN EXCEPT WITH CHEAP JEWELRY ... BUT, JUST AS I SAY THAT ... ... ...
I LISTED ALL MY MEDS & SUPPLEMENTS, & AM TAKING THAT LIST OF GOOD/BAD MEDS I JUST POSTED TO GET DR B's OPINION AS WELL.
THANKS AGAIN & GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
