Barbara's Raspberry Vanilla Very Berry Shake
I, like Katie, am addicted to Vanilla Very Berry, but couldn't let well enough alone, so I'll share my secrets with you. I make mine with no-fat milk and add a splash of 1/2 & 1/2, half a pkg of sugar-free instant vanilla pudding POWDER, 1/2 c. powdered milk, and half a pkg. of sugar-free raspberry jello (WalMart brand) POWDER. I throw it all in my blender and add ice gradually til it is filled to the top. I eat it with a spoon and store what I can't eat right in the blender container in the fridge where it stays pretty icy til the next time. Then I add more ice or whatever it might need and give it another spin. It is thick and yummy.
My other favorite is made with Matrix 5.0 Protein Powder in Perfect Chocolate. It's also available from Bariatriceating.com and is alot less expensive than the Very Berry. I add the same amts of milk, powdered milk, 1/2 & 1/2 and ice. I use Chocolate Fudge sugar-free pudding powder and add a dash of cinnamon. I really like it that way. It tastes like a Frosty from Wendy's, but I've also added Kahlua flavoring (DaVinci Sugar-free Syrup from WalMart), and I'm eating one right now that I added sugar-free cherry jello to, and it tastes like a chocolate-covered cherry.
I can't tolerate protein shakes in just a shaker cup or the ones in a can, but these are a different story. I have no problem getting my protein in anymore. Hope this helps anyone who's having a problem with protein.
Barbara I just tried my own receipe. I used 8 oz of Lactaid. 2 scoops of this chocholate protein powder. 1 scoop of Whey (no flavor) powder. One half package of sugar free white chocolate pudding and 1/2 cup powered milk. I put some ice in it also. Well it is great. My 4 year old loves it. It tastes like chocolate cake mix.
Thanks so much Barbara. Now I know I can get in all my protein.
