New and Inquiring about support group
This is the first time I've posted with the board. I am post-op 17 days and down 30lbs. I live in the small town of Vance, and I teach in Holly Hill. A support group in North Charleston would be a lot closer for me than attending "Bari Buddies" (the support group offered by my surgeon's office in Columbia, where I had my surgery). Am I assuming correctly that you don't necessarily have to live in the Charleston area to attend the group meetings? If so, I may attend in a few weeks. Thanks. April
WELCOME TO THE BOARDS, & ANYONE & EVERYONE IS MORE THAN WELCOMED TO COME TO OUR THURSDAY EVENING SUPPORT MEETING!!! WE ARE VERY INFORMAL & USUALLY MEET AT ONE OF THE LOCAL RESTUARANTS FROM 5:30 - 7:30 (COME ANYTIME DURING THAT PERIOD). CHECK THIS BOARD & "LORIS HAPPIER" WILL POST THE INFO EACH WEEK. IF YOU GIVE HER YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS, SHE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY E-MAIL AS WELL.
WE'RE VOTING ON A NAME THIS WEEK, SO IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS, JUMP IN! WE HAVE ...
1) THE LOWCOUNTRY LOSERS (Brittain's suggestion)
2) NICK'S ANGELS (a take-off of Charlie's Angels ... since Nick is the only man SO FAR & he just adores all the ladies in our group!)
3) FAT FREE (Merlon's suggestion)
4) THE "GBG" (GASTRIC-BYPASS GROUP) (Solar's suggestion)
5) THE SKINNY MINNIES
GOD BLESS NICK & DAWN
