Calling BEAUFORT area post ops...Help!!!!!

We really, really need a support group in Beaufort. I know there are many post ops out there that had surgery in Charleston. Beaufort Memorial has a new bariatric unit and there are a few of us scheduled for mid October. I keep telling them we need to form a support group NOW. Please, Please, Beaufort or sorrounding area post ops, help me get a support group going. Thanks!!

Hi Sylvia, It's Heather Nicholson-Callahan! I was so inspired by your profile! Can't wait to talk to you. I am not post op. I have already spoken to Joyce though. She's sending me a packet in the mail soon. Congratulations on the upcoming surgery. I have been researching WLS for over a year now, so I'm pretty informed! My mother and I went to a seminar last year in Hilton Head. The doctor had so many patients he had to stop doing the surgerys, Joyce tolds me the insurance companies will only allow so many? I believe I understood that correctly,weird huh? I work at Kinghorn Insurance, they have an EXCLUSION, so the surgery is NOT covered! I am at a total loss as to what to do. My credit is not that great, although Joyce said there are many finance companies out there. She's the one who told me about THIS website. I read her article in Mondays Gazette about the new bariatric program at BMH and called her the next day! I will be at the Oct. 27th meeting. You will have already had your surgery right?
