I had my surgery on Wednesday Aug 31, I still feel pressure after eating but I am finding that it takes very little to fill me up. The only other issue I am having is when I tried to take a shower and remove my drain bandage I got a little light headed. It seems I am sleeping so much better already maybe because I am still weak.I get tired real quick as soon as i try to get up and walk around a little it seems it takes me a while to feel good again. But overall no regrets...

Hi Tammie. Congrats sounds like you are well on your way. Looks like Dr. Byrne did your surgery. He is doing mine also (still waiting to hear from insurance ) but I am scheduled for October 7th. Keep us posted on the board as you progress. Susann

I went back today for my checkup. I have lost 13 lbs in a week. I got my drain removed too. I thought that would be painful but it was not a problem ,I feel so much better now. Good Luck with your insurance. I wish you the best.

Yesterday was the first day I really felt good. It seems like before that it took very little movement to wear me out. But as far as what I am eating. I have been adding the dry milk to my carnation instance breakfast and sometimes either 1/2 banana or some peanut butter. I can only drink 1/2 of it but it taste pretty good. I made an asparagus soup with a can of asparagus and a can of cream of mushroom. If you like asparagus this was really good. I tried some tomato soup the other day but I think that wasnt what my stomach needed. It is so weird not being hungry. I am still struggling trying to get in enough water so the doctor suggested just sipping on water all day. Thanks for your support.

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING, MS TAMMIE ... WARM SOUP TO CALM THE STOMACH AFTER SURGERY. I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT PROTEIN PRODUCTS THAT HAVE NO FLAVOR THAT THE POWDER CAN BE ADDED TO FOOD TO GET THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT EACH DAY. ALSO INTERESTED IN SOME OF THE PROTEIN DRINKS & PUDDING (PUDDING SOUNDS BETTER TO ME THAN DRINKS). CHECK OUT ... http://store.bariatriceating.com/ I ASKED OUR DIETITIAN AT MUSC & SHE SAID THIS IS A GOOD SITE FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS. OUR OWN OBESITYHELP.COM HAS VITAMINS, ETC THAT ARE SOLD IN THEIR SITE STORE RIGHT HERE. CHAT LATER & KEEP LOSIN' BIG! DAWN & NICK
