United Healthcare ?

Has anyone been approved by United Healthcare, especially in NC (I live in SC, work in NC), when they've had a written exclusion against "all weight loss surgery, including for mobid obesity"? Wondering if the fact that I'm considered being "super morbidly obese" would make a difference...lol. Well, one can at least wish. I have my employer checking with our insurance broker to see if this exclusion can be removed from our policy, but so far he doesn't think that will be possible since it's their standard policy. I went through denials from Cigna when I was with a former employer and spent over $1000 out of pocket for consultations, tests, etc. I don't want to have to go through this all over again, only to lose money and still not have the surgery.
