Hey Susan, I am using Dr. McDevitt in Beaufort. The hospital is starting a new bariatric unit and he will be the surgen. He is a general surgeon but has performed many Baspass surgeries. It's nice to be able to have it done right here. Who are you using?

Hi Sylvia. My doc is Dr. Byrne at MUSC. I am glad to be able to do this close by also. The thought of driving too far after the surgery just doesn't appeal to me at all. Let me know how things go. Susann

Hi Sylvia! I'm new too, just logged on tonight..(actually 1:30 am) I have sent off medical records and a letter from my doctor...and the waiting now....I've read alot about my insurance co. United healthcare...some good some bad. I hope everything works out great for you...keep me posted Sherry I should probably go to bed now

Leisa, Hi! That's so cool that you are in Simpsonville!! I've been trying to find someone to talk to about surgery. I am so ready to do it. I am just waiting on United Healthcare to send me an approval letter. I am thinking I should call and be a "squeaky wheel", what do you think? Looks like you already had it. Please tell me how you did and are doing. What are the pros and cons. Who was your doctor? I don't want to be a pain though, so share what ever you feel comfortable with.
