Things are getting better. I got my staples out on Wednesday. The doctor is pleased. Feeling a lot better. Still get tired easy when walking. I can't believe I'm down 31 lbs. I didn't think it would come off this fast. I know that it will slow down. Thanks for all the help. Wendy

WOOOHOOOOO You go girl!!! Is that not the best feeling? To see the weight going down.Im so proud of you Wendy, you are doing great.Im glad to hear things are getting better,I know its hard but I promise it does get better>I had my WLS on March 8th and it is just now going good for me.I find though that I have to stick to my routine as far as my eating or it throughs me out of wack.I cant eat in the morning,I have tried and i find that for me I do better if I have a protien shack about 9-10am and then I have lunch a few hrs later.I get hassled by ppl that I dont eat enough but I do what works for me and my body lets me know when I dont do the right things.Im doing something right,I have lost 94lbs so far...lol..Well i will talk to you soon, take care and keep up the good work girl..Renee Columbia SC

I couldn't believe your title when I read it!!! OMG 31 lbs is FANTASTIC!! That is GREAT!!!! How does THAT make you feel?!?!? couple questions... You had your stitches in for two weeks...was this your first followup appointment? Did you get an angel pillow? How was the nursing staff for you? The support group was not as long this time, they are going to make it only one hour from 10-11 since hardly any preops going any more. I found it very helpful and informatiive. Debbie Elsey, myself and Susann went to Applebee's for lunch afterwards and continued our chatting about nothing but WLS! Debbie has lost 75 lbs and had her surgery May 2nd and is doing great! Hope to se eyou soon! Keep doing great! Lori

I had around 39 staples. This was my first follow up because the week before they were booked. I did get an angel pillow. The nursing staff was great. I never felt like I was a burden. They were always very nice. I was going to go to the Trident support group but my husband had an appointment at 9:30 am and I didn't have a sitter. I hope to be there next month. Talk to you soon. Wendy, We did miss you on Saturday. Am glad that things are going so well and no complications! How did you do on the liquid diet part? Finding it hard to get enough protein? That is one of my concerns, the protein in the beginning. When is your next follow up appointment? And, of course always questions, why so many stitches or is 39 normal for lap? Thanks, look forward to seeing the thinner you! Lori
