I took a big step towards the new me today

I went to see Dr. Byrnes and Dr. Morgan at MUSC today. I am excited and nervous at the same time. They told me they wouldn't do lap on me, only open, which was a disappointment, but I am going to do this any way I can. Wish me luck with the insurance approval!!! Susann

Susann; I hope that you have better luck with Cigna than I've had. I've been fighting for approval since May. Go to Cigna.com and search for Bariatric surgery. It will tell you the exact criteria you must meet before any approval. Also, check out Weight.com--Cigna has earned the "Hall of Shame" for many years from them. I don't want you to get discouraged but I just want you to know that you are in for a battle with Cigna!! I am now appealing to the National Board of Appeals for Cigna. Good Luck!! Allison T.
