Filter put in tomorrow

Well my husband and I will be going to a hotel tonight near the hospital. I have to be at the hosptial at 6:00 AM for the filter. I'm getting nervous. Well, I'll just say that my bowells are working overtime right now. Just 14 days till I'm a loser. Wendy

Good luck Wendy. I had my DVT studies today and did the pre-op interview and blood work. I'm getting the filter on the 28th and then go in for surgery on the 1st. For some reason I'm more nervous about the filter than anything else. Let me know how you do. BobbyBear

Hi Bobby I had the filter put in today. It was just like having a heart catherization. I got to the hospital at 6:00 am and was home by 12 noon. That's with a 1 1/2 hour drive home. You have to stay in bed for at least 4 hours at home. My groin is a little sore, but other than that it was fine. You'll be fine. Take care Wendy Fowler
