Need Dr in SC

I have a friend looking for a Surgeon in SC. They are considering Gastric Bypass surgery and need to find a good Dr in the Columbia/Sumter area. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks. Carol rosegarden_982004@yahoo.com

Hi, Carol! I had my surgery done 8/18/04 by Dr. Glen Strickland in Lexington (Columbia). He and his partner, Dr. Jim Givens, are great and their office people are very helpful!! They have an orientation meeting at Lexington Medical Center the first Wednesday of the month (which would be this Wednesday). I'm not sure of the time so you'd have to call there. I also went to Riverside Surgical. Dr. Givens & Strickland are great surgeons. I had RNY and was out of the hospital my 2nd day post op. If you need more info on them just let me know. 791-2828 is there number.

I don't know if this is out of your area, but you may want to consider and look into this doctor and facility. I am from the Upstate area and went to MUSC, Dr Karl Byrne, in Charleston. He has a great reputation, and record. I had my surgery in May 2003. No complications. I highly recommend him, and is well worth the distance I traveled. Hello Carol.... I had my surgery with Dr. Ben Tribble and doctor *****et that is in Columbia.. They do their surgery's out of the Baptist hospital...They are wonderful doctors and have a great program...
