Anyone from Chester SC??

Hi, I had Lapband Surgery about 7 months ago and looking for someone from Chester SC or near by that would like to excerise together. I am a member of the YMCA and avail about anytime to go. Just be nice to have a partner !!! Male/Female doesn't matter.... alot of times it really helps to have someone to talk to about this local and push each other to get to our goals! I am from York but I am a member of Curves. Do you go to the support meetings at Piedmont?

Hi Chris, No I have never been to a support group. I had Lap Band done in Sept of last year, done in Mexico. Have wondered about those but never been. Which Curves do you go to?

I go to the Curves in front of Northwestern High School. I had Lap RNY on 12-31-2002. There are support group meetings at Piedmont on the 2nd and 4th Wed of each month at 7:00 in the Womens Center Auditorium. There is one tomorrow night at 7. I would love to meet you.

Hi, I am from the Lake Wylie area. I am in process of getting the lap band. I work out at the YMCA in Clover, SC. It is alot of fun and we have a bunch of girls that work out together. It would be great if you could join us. Not sure how far it is from you? I am having my surgery with Dr. Bauman in Concord, NC. It would be nice to be able to go to a support group closer to me. If I can get dinner done and children ready for their next school day I may come this evening. Let me know if you two are going? It would be nice to meet others going through this. Thanks, Angie

Angela, I will be going to the meeting tonight. I am two years post op, but I try to go to at least one meeting a month. It helps to keep me accountable. Try to come.

THe support group is for people who are thinking of having surgery as well as the ones who have already had it. You can learn a lot from people there.

Sorry I couldnt make it this evening. My husband got home to late for me to go. Hopefully next time I can make it. I hate that I missed it.
