Linda,
I don't know of any doctors that do the surgery at Richland. I had my surgery at Baptist by Dr. Dalton *****ett. His partner is Dr. Ben Tribble. I highly recommend them. Their staff is excellent, especially the nurse Judy. I believe their seminar is on the third Tuesday of each month at Baptist. They also don't require large payments like some of the doctor's do.
Good luck with whomever you decide to go with.

Hi Linda. I'm still pre-op but have chosen Dr. Glen Strickland at Lexington Medical Center for my 4/6/05 RNY. The hospital has a wing dedicated to WLS and a staff that is very well trained. I just finished my pre-op testing last Friday and it was a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Strickland and his staff are very thorough and have a great after care program. They actually return your phone calls too! Before you make your decision go to the seminar. Check out the information. One plus is the GreenField Filter to catch clots. Many doctors do not provide the filter. If you have done some research you know clots are a big problem with WLS. Call Riverside Surgical and they can give you the next seminar date. The next support group meeting is April 6th. (I won't be there because that's my surgery date. Woooohooooo!) Good luck and hope to see you soon on the LOSERS BENCH! Patricia N SC
