Tri****hink Dr. Sabback is a wonderful Doctor and I recieved wonderful care at Trident during my 4 day stay... I just came back from seeing Dr. Sabback this past Tuesday.. I was there for my 6 month check-up.. I'm fine and I go back to see him in 3 months and I'll be there.. He's a excellent surgeon in my opinion.. I am so sorry if you had a bad experience with him.. -Shannon

your response to the previous emailer just shows that one person can have a wonderful outcome and another may not. dr. balder and anderson in conway have done bariatric surgery for over 8yr. and over 500 of the surgeries have been performed laparoscopically. they do the lap adj. gastric band also. they have done over 600 wt. loss surgeries. their complication rates are far below national average and their follow up program is excellent. their death rate is .4%, less than half of one percent - which is the lowest you will ever see and they don't restrict their patient base to just bmi of 40's like some doctors. they do some very high risk patients. but a patient must be compliant or neuropathy, ulcers and other things can happen. people who don't stop smoking can have problems during surgery and even after when the pouch ulcerates. people who don't take their supplements can have problems too. everyones anatomy is different and even though the same procedure is done one might have a complication. of course the family blames the doctor. each person has to be comfortable with their surgeon no matter if its sabback, anderson, balder, strickland or whoever. but make sure if you travel you are committed to going back for followup. make a committment to continue to travel.

Shannon Not sure if your doctor is still seeing post of patients, but there is a support group in Conway each month at the Wellness Center behind Conway Medical Center on the second Tues. of each month at 7:00pm It is a really good, infomative group run by Dr. Balder and Dr. Anderson and Sue Rudnicki of their office.(they do gastrics at Conway Medical Center now) Hope to see you somtime....Support Group is SOOOOO important to staying on the program and Sue is about 7 or more years post op and has tons of knowledge about staying healthy!!!!!!
