I noticed that Trident is no longer doing gastric bypass surgeries.. Where does that leave Dr. Sabback?.. Will he still be doing the surgeries but at a different hospital?.. I had my surgery w/him last year.. I am 5 1/2 months out and down 85 pounds.. -Shannon

I spoke with Dr. Sabback's office early this week...they said it was going to be some time before he got a program set up somewhere else (I got the impression that it would be several months) I specifically asked because my husband is starting a job that will take him out of town for training 3-5 weeks at a time starting in mid June and I was basically told that they didn't think he would have a program in place before that. I'm having my records sent to the Drs in Conway!

I spoke w/a young man at the library the other day who has had surgery with Dr. Balder and he has been left paralyzed due to the surgery Dr. Balder performed on him.. As far as I know he's in the process of suing.. Just thought I would let you know.. -Shannon

I probably shouldn't of said that.. My apologizes.. I guess I just wanted to let ya know what I have heard.. True or not I am sure you have done your research on the surgeons in Conway.. Once again my apologizes and if the above post could be deleted it would be appreciated... -Shannon

unfortunately this person did not take their supplements and has a neuropathy which is correctable with b12. he is non-compliant when it comes to supplementation. its not the surgery that caused the problem.

Hi Dixie! I heard a little bit about this but I have no answers either. I had my surgery Oct. 6th 2004 with Dr. Sabback. I am down 100 pounds today. I hope Dr. Sabback gets some where soon. I really like him alot! Take care! Congrats on your weight loss!

I just came back from Dr. Sabback's office. He is submitting my paperwork to the insurance company to see if they will pay. When I was at a support group meeting last month a woman said that she was having the surgery done at roper. Wendy

Just my opinioon, RUN from Dr. Sabback. ( prior knowledge) and the truth, delete this, moderator if u wish, just trying to prevent poor outcomes. Columbia has great surgeons, Dr. *****ett, Walls, etc.
