Hello all. I work at a high school and the Senior Prom is approaching in March. I hope to be down to at least an 18-20 dress by then. Anyway, I need a formal dress to wear and do not want to go out and spend a fortune on a dress I will be out of soon. I checked the clothing exchange here and there was nothing listed. Just wondering if anyone out there is willing to donate a dress to me. I will pay s&h. Thank you to anyone who is willing to help. Jeanie Hayes Post-op 10/12/04 Loss to date: 101 lbs

hey Jeanie! I cannot beleive the timing. I just donated two floor length dresses to the Women's League for HS girls that cannot afford them. I do have a bridesmaid dress that I wore in my sisters wedding. It looks rather "churchy" though. Plum/Purple brushed linen look with antique lace on the sleeves. Short-sleeve jacket and long straight skirt. I would be happy to loan it to you but I would like it back. I am pre-surgery and might get back into it. Planned to have the skirt cut off to wear as a church suit. Let me know. I hope you find something. Have you checked into consignment shops or thrift shops such as one run by a Junior or Women's League? Good luck! Leisa

Hmmm, you know I was thinking about that. I am from a VERY VERY VERY small town and we just don't have things like that around here. In order to do that I would have to drive an hour to get there. Well, I guess the drive would be worth it if I can find something though. Do you happen to have a pic of the dress? Just wondering. TTYL Jeanie Hayes Post op- 10/12/04

Somewhere I have a pic or two from her wedding. I will look this evening and when my DH gets home from his grocery store run I will get him to scan it for us so I can send it to you. He should be back any time now.

You might try e-bay. I just bought my Daughters First Communion dress for $25 and saw the same dress at Dillarads for $125. It's worth a try. Good luck.
