major disappointment

I went to get my upper gi, ultrasound of my gall bladder and blood tests today. I found out when I got there that The hospital is not in network. It was going to cost me $1800 for the tests today. Needless to say I didn't get the tests done. Then I found out by my insurance company that all the other doctors I'm supposed to see are all out of network. And although the surgeon is in network, The hospital that he operates out of is not. So, the insurance company will cover the surgery, the doctor but not the hospital costs. I have to say the Dr. Sabback's office is great. They are helping us through this. Please keep praying that this will be all resolved soon. Wendy

Wendy, When I talked to the financial person in Dr. Sabback's office I was told that the hospital costs are $30,000.00. Which hospitals are in network? You might want to consider changing surgeons. I will be praying that all works out and that you do not have to pay a lot of money out of pocket. Nancy

Is MUSC in network? Check out Dr Morgan or Dr Byrnes if you have to find a new surgeon. I wish you luck, and the least out of pocket expenses LOL Mic

MUSC is not in network. and Dr. Byrnes is not in network either. Thanks for the help
