HELP

Hey everyone! I need help finding a regular MD. I have not been to a DR sense I was seven and I will be 21 in Feb. The DR I went to then said some really mean things about my weight and it as just stuck with me and I haven't been able to make myself go back. Well I have recently gotten married, and I want to have wls done but I know without approval of my regular md I can not. So I guess my question is can anyone recommend a DR. I want to get the surg. done now while I am young, so that I can have a long healthy life. thanks for your time Hailey

Hailey, Hello. I am sorry tp hear that a doctor would be cruel to a child. And I do understand wanting to get the surgery done at a young age. I just had mine done 4 months ago at the age of 25. As for picking a new doctor, if you have insurance, see who is in your in-network list and do interviews with them. Explain to him/her your cir****tances and make sure that you feel comfortable and that they are going to be obese senisitive and if they are open to signing off on WLS -- if he or she is negative about either, I would not bother.
