MY FIRST VISIT TO THE DOCTOR IS JAN. 6TH AND I'M SCARED TO DEATH. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. AND I HEARD THAT MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER THE LAP SURGERY. SO WILL THE SCAR BE HUGE. AND HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY? PLEASE SOMEONE EDUCATE ME!
hey mia,
what Doctor are you going too see?? I had my first visit with Dr Sabback Nov 29, he just went over how he does the surgery and ask questions about any health problems you might have.He also gives you the chance to ask questions and then you start getting all the appts set up that you need. I have already had my blood work and upper gi done i have my sleep apt on monday a lil nervious about that lol having someone watch me sleep all nite! I have the a few more appts in Dec and then in jan i have psyc eval. then i go back to Dr sabback on jan 13 hopefully by then i will have my approval for surgery! I'm so excited about getting this done! to me the scar will be worth getting healthy i have seen seveal peoples scars by just looking at profiles they didnt look too bad as far as the recovery they have you up and moving very quickly and by three weeks i have seen some people go back to work (light duty ) hope i was of some help, as far as your insurance goes call them and see what they cover.and research the surgery as much as you can
