Hi folks, I have only posted once before, but just wanted to let y'all know that I am having surgery Sept 27 in Conway with Dr Balder/Dr Anderson (what a cutie!). I am very nervous but very excited. WLS, here I come!!!

Congratulations, Linda! I am new to the site also, and have been researching this kind of surgery. I have my first appointment with Dr. Byrne of MUSC hospital on 10/21/04. Don't really know what will happen after that, but I will be reading to find out. I think my insurance will pay, but I'm concerned about the "out of pocket" thing. Is $2500 to $3000 the norm or do you know? I'm originallly from Cherry Grove Beach and still have lots of family in North Myrtle Beach so I will be following your progress. Will be praying for you and wishing you alll the best!
