Anyone had surgery with Dr. Espinal?

Hello! Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Alex Espinal at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC? IF so, could you please tell me about your experience with both the surgeon and the hospital? I have heard wonderful things so far, and am encouraged. Just interested in hearing from more people. Thanks!

Hi Cindy, I have not had surgery yet, but I am scheduled for 9/21 with Dr Espinal. He and Dr Borhanian do their surgeries together. I have met both doctors and they seem very knowledgable and compassionate. I will also be having my surgery at Piedmont Medical Center. My experiences with Piedmont so far have been positive. Hi Cindy, I know Dr Espinal and he was my first choice when I started looking into surgery. My insurance will not cover it, so I had to start looking for other options. Then after more research I decided that the Lap Band was better for me. But, if you are sure you want the RNY surgery, yes Dr Espinal is a good choice. Best of luck to you!

Who is doing your lap band surgery?

Dr Borhanian and Dr Espinal did both my and my husband's surgery. My husband had his yesterday.and he is doing wonderful. We are both nurses. My husband works at Piedmont, and I used to. I now work at Carolinas Medical center and had my surgery at Piedmont. I can recommend it. We are having a support group meeting tonight. Come if you can. 7pm The women's tower auditorium. Robin
