Need Info

I am a Post/op. I have a freind in SC that needs this surgery. She has lots of health problems; Age 50+, Heart, Diabetes, etc. She does not know much about this surgery (except what I have told her) and nothing about who is the best surgeron for RNY in her area. She lives in Sumter, SC. Any Suggestions or positive personal experiences whould be helpful.

I just had lap RNY done on 8/18 by Dr. Glen Strickland in Lexington, SC. He's with Riverside Surgical - has a partner, Dr. James Givens. They are EXCELLENT surgeons!! Carol... I think it is great that you are trying to help your friend... I had surgery in January and I used Dr.Tribble.. I think he is the best Dr. I have ever been to he has a great staff and support group... I would recommend him to anyone... He is in Columbia and he uses the Baptist Hospital...
