OT I am going to columbia SC need some advice

I live in Iowa and I am leaving on the 7th to go see my son. I will arrive on the 8th. he's stationed at fort Jackson he's graduating sept 9th and then we are leaving around 7 am on the 10th to return to Iowa but I was wondering if I should go because people are saying theres a hurricane heading towards SC. Any advice I never been to SC before I don't travel much but we are driving there. I t would be well appreciated for any advice . thanks Lavonda

It took a turn and looks like it wont hit SC after all. But tune into the Weather Channel. I live 45 minutes from Columbia.
