SURGERY UPDATES: DEB HAIGLER & TANYA FLOYD (Noxqcs)

I went to visit 2 of our members at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia. Both Deborah Haigler and Tanya Floyd (Noxqcs-screen name) had surgery on 8/24/04. Deborah - was alert, on the phone; afterwards we talked and laughed and looked at pics. She is in good spirits and has been up walking; her barium swallow was good. Moderate pain where the drain is. Overall, she is doing well. Deb started on me, so I cut visit short with her. Tanya - was aler****ching tv. She recognized me immediately after I introduced myself. We talked, laughed, and looked at pics too. Her mother called me "skinny-mini" . Tanya is actually doing fine, except her barium swallow didn't go well. They moved her IV from her hand to the groin area..ugghh!!! For the most, she is doing fine as well. Today was the first time meeting both ladies. It really felt good to see the smiles on their faces while I visited. I enjoyed my visit with them both. Jacquie Dee

Jacquie Dee, I know you didn't have to make that drive or even stop by my room, but I am so thankful you did. I am doing much better. I went home Saturday & have lost 21 pounds as of today. You are my "goal-model".
