I am almost two weeks postop, and I am having trouble with protein drinks. Most make me feel nauseous when I drink them. Does anyone know where I might find samples to try? Thanks for your help! Hugs, Shelia

Hi Shelia Im happy that you have made it to the loser bench. I tried some samples that I ordered online from isopureoutlet.com and they were great. Fell in love with the strawberry flavor. Hope I like after my surgery. Hope that helps. You can also go to Vitalady.com for some samples also. Good Luck Debbie

I have tried my share of protein drinks and, at 4 months post-op, still on occasion will try a new one now and then. But, my favorite is unjury. Their website in www.unjury.com . Denise

Have you tried ordered some sample packlets off of the bariatriceating.com website? Ive tried some there, and they are pretty good. i also make my own protein shakes, using carb conscious carnation instant breakfast, some coffee, carb countdown milk, any whey tasteless protein powder, fat free half and half, splenda (not all of these together, but I mix and match, and ALWAYS use the any whey protein powder.) Some people like the Unjury protein liquid, I havent tried it myself. GNC has some protein drinks that are apparently pretty good, so check them out there. I really prefer my own, but remember, you can doctor up anything. You just have to experiment! Good luck! Love, Gini

Hey Sheila, I have found that the Isopure from GNC is ok. I try and drink one a day. The orange flavor is the one that tastes the best to me. I have tried all of the flavors and can stomach them but they are not the best tasting. I at least know that I am getting 40g of protein in me. I hope that you find one you like. If you find a new protein drink that is different from the sugesstions you have received you should post it for the other WLS viewers to learn about. Good luck on your success. Sheri SC
