ARUGHHHH

WELL, DOESNT LOOK GOOD FOR ME... I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SEPT BEFORE CIGNA WILL EVEN APPROVE ME. I SUBMITTED 2 TIMES ALREADY AND WENT THROUGH THEM TURNING ME DOWN BOTH TIMES. IT WENT TO APPEALS AND THEY STILL ARE REQUESTING THE 6 MTH DOCTOR SUPERVISED WEIGHT LOSS HISTORY. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE MARCH SO MY PCP SAID HE WILL DATE BACK TO THEN. THIS IS SUCH A LONG PROCESS... OH WELL AT LEAST I ONLY HAVE 3 MORE MONTHS TO GO! *JUST HAD TO GET IT OUT OF MY SYSTEM!! CIGNA IS TROUBLE!!

Cigna sucks. I had them when I started all this and fought them for about a year. They don't want to pay for anything ~ medicines, treatment, much less this surgery. Best of luck to you. Bridget, I have CIGNA and they approved me after a year. I was denied twice and then had a conference with the committee (Read my profile for more details). In the end, they wanted a psychologist appt, nutritionist appt, and 26 weeks worth of medically superivsed diet. No way around it, so I did it. Make sure that you are actively involved with your PCP and geting at least monthly weigh-ins and it is getting documented. That is the best advice I can give - Documentation. Thanks ladies for the advice. I wish I could jump on the hubbys insurance with BC/BS ~ I have heard really good things about them but you can only enroll once a year in Jan with his company.... I should already have my 6 mth doct. supv. visits by then. I already had the nutr. eval and psy. eval..... off to wait I go!!!! :|
