Well yesterday was my first appointment.. Let me tell ya about my trip.. First off we had to leave here at 10am because it was a 3 hour drive there.. We got on the road and first off we ended up taking the wrong way so had to back track 30 mins to get on the right road.. Well, things were going really well until about 30 mins from my doctors office.. We started to hear something loud coming from what we thought was under the hood of the car.. Perhaps the motor or something was messing up.. Well, about that time something slapped the windshield.. I screamed than began to cry.. The belt on the tire had broke and shredded to pieces.. Luckily, we were close to a rangers station and pulled in... Hubby got out the jack and began to lift up the car when the jack broke.. Yup, it's broke.. So I had to walk up to the ranger station and ask if anyone had a jack.. Luckily, a man who just came into work had one.. He helped my husband change the tire only to find out that the donut/spare tired was flat.. *L*.. Yup, flat.. So once again luckily someone near by had a compressor to put air in the tire. So after that was done we made it to the doctors office w/a few minutes to spare.. Only to find out that the doctor will be 30 mins late cause he was called over to the hospital for a emergency.. *L*.. Well, I finally saw the doctor.. We was really nice and to the point.. He explained everything to me.. How he does the surgery, what to expect, pros and cons.. So now I have to do my serious of test.. The blood work can be done here locally which is great.. I've also got to do the pysch, pulimonary doc, deitian.. Luckily no sleep study or gallbladder test for me.. Already had a sleep study done last year and I don't have a gallbladder so I lucked out there.. *L*.. Well, I'll get those done go back to see him and go from there.. Thanks for listening.. -Shannon

Dixie, WOW -- sounds like a mini horror show -- At least you made it and it all worked out in the end. I can relate to having things stand in your way. Just remember to always stay focused and keep your goal in mind, whatever it may be. Good luck with your journey -- can not wait to hear more!!!! Leigh Ann
