New Post-Op Surgery Date 5/20/04

Hello All!! I had my surgery on 5/20 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC and had a wonderful experience. My surgeons were Dr. Borhanian and Dr. Espinal. The surgery was uneventful. I have been adjusting to life after WLS and I must admit it is a little more challenging than I expected. I am now seing just how much I depended on FOOD for comfort...so I am having to find new ways to deal with emotions. I wish everyone the best...even with the adjustments, I would have the surgery again tomorrow. I FINALLY feel that I have control over food, and not vice verse. I am now looking to living a life without restrictions, no longer hiding behind my weight. I guess I finally made the decision to have WLS when I realized how poor a substitute eating was for living. Hey Lisa I hear ya! It's quite an adjustment. I know you're doing well, though. It'll be cool to enjoy the loss of restrictions on our lives.
