just wanted to let everyone know that i went to the seminar held at spartanburg regional on the 19 and that i was very impressed with dr ross and his program, he answered all of our questions and was very patient, his mortality rate is less than 2%, the only thing i am leary about is the fact that my insurance requires me to have 6 months of supervised weight loss by an md, brianna

Brianna, I am happy that you were pleased with the seminar. Another step on your journey to weight loss surgery. As for the 26 weeks medically supervised diet, many insurances require this, or some other type of medically supervised diet. Mine did and I had to go through it. I complied and got approved. I would go ahead and see your PCP and get started if you have not. Just to cover all bases. Better to start now then have to start later! Make sure that you have a weigh in every 4-6 weeks at your PCP and that it is recorded. And all discussion of your diets is recorded. I wish you the best! Keep up informed! Leigh Ann
