Anyone else had Lupus antibodies show up in there bloodwork?

Just curious to know if anyone else had this show up in their bloodwork, or if anyone else had actually been diagnosed with Lupus and if that affected getting the surgery at all? Thanks for any help or advice? Have a Super Day, Deb

Hey Debra ... I was diagnosed with LUPUS ANTICOAGULANT FACTOR (but not actual lupus) through bloodwork and because of that particular factor it threw me in a high risk category where the doctors I had been seeing and going through everything with decided it was too risky to operate on me . However; I got a second opinion and although I had to travel to Charleston to have it done (I live in Lexington) ..I had it done a month ago 5/4/04 and am doing better day by day .. I think it depends on what factors show up ..I was more apt to clot ..that was why I was high risk but with antibodies ..I am not sure ..Ask your doctor or the pathologist who ran the tests to explain that to you ...
