Challenge for Lurkers!

Hi! I too would like this board to be more active. I usually check it then end up going into the main message board to read posts. My name is Angela Gibson I live in Campobello SC and I am waiting on my insurance approval then I will be set to have my surgery with Dr.Givens in Columbia. I would love to hear from anyone that has had surgery with Dr.Givens. I look forward to reading more posts on this SC board. Thanks!! Angela

Angela, Hello and WELCOME -- I hope that you wil get your insurance approval soon and without much difficulty. As for Dr.Givens, Jeanne Griggs posted a few posts up that she is a patient of his, if you are wanting to contact someone. Good luck in your journey and keep us posted! Leigh Ann

Hello everyone.....I'm Melinda and I'm from Pelion, SC. I'm a lurker. I like to come to this site to see what is going on. I have had WLS. My doctor is Dr. Strickland. I had surgery August 20, 2003. I had lap rny. I am down 86 pounds and still losing. I have gone from a tight size 24 to a comfy size 16 in jeans and comfy size large in shirts, something I haven't seen in many years. Life is WONDERFUL.........I want to wish everyone Good Luck in getting approved for the surgery and Good Luck to everyone that will be having the surgery. Talk to ya soon. Melinda
