hello to all

just wanted to introduce myself, i am scheduled for a seminar on may 19 at spartanburg regional, was wondering if any of you have had the surgery there or know someone who has, i know its a new program roughly four years, any opinions?

Brianna, Hello and WELCOME to the SC board!!! First off, if you need any support, please feel free to email me. I am here for you! Second, I am not familiar with the program in Spartanburg. I myself am in a program in Greenville with Dr. Eric Bour. A wonderful program it is. At the seminar you are attending, I would suggest finding out the surgeons, not national average, rate of complications, deaths, and the information surrounding them, what hospital they use, get some references to contact, and also very important, at least to me, is the pre-op and post-op program a place offers. You will need support from peers, your surgeon, and others to get through this. Dr. Bour has a wonderful staff around him, so I feel that I will be much more succesful with my new life after surgery. There are also many resources here on OH that you can utilize to help to educate yourself with weight loss surgery. If you need any guidence finding something on here, just let me know. hi this is my first time posting to the board. i am scheduled for a seminar on april 29 in charleston. i am so excited. does any one know about how long it takes to get a surgery date after the seminar? oh ya "HI" to all.
