Thought i was going to die

hey all just got home from hospital yesterday morning Tuesday evening about 5:30 pm all of a sudden i got sever pain in my stomach and only being a little less then 2 weeks post op from lap RNY i wasent sure if maybe i was dumping or not well this pain i had i wouldnt wish on my worst enemy so i knew it had to be more neighbors called ambulance and i was rushed to ER i was screaming and cussin in ER for pain meds i was hyperventilating and had dry heaves and the sweats and kept telling my hubby i am going to die well they did xrays and a catscan to find out that my bowell tried to move thru the small hole of my small intestine and it herniated and twisted behind my old stomach they said after WLS theres like a 1% chance of this happening and i was one of the unlucky ones the pain was terrable hope i never go thru that again my surgeon was able to go thru my lap RNy incisions instead of opening me up and i have been in hospital since tuesday and just got home yesterday . I can only hope the rest of my journey goes more smoothly.

Cindy, How horrible! I'm so glad they figured out what was wrong and corrected it quickly without having to open you up. Take it easy and while your body heals. I'm so glad to hear your back home. Take care and keep in touch. Roxane
