C-sections And LAP RNY

I need to know if anyone has had a C-sectoin and the LAP RNY? I was told by a friend that I may not be able to have the LAP Rny b/c I have had 2 previouse C-Sections. She thought b/c of scar tissue I would have to have an Open RNY. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks! Angela

hey Angela, I have had 2 c-sections and my doctor said there should be no problem with the lap rny. Most of my weight is in my lower stomach. He said that made it alot easier. Best thing to do is ask your doctor. Every one is so different. Good luck in your journey. Tonya

hey again, I asked Dr. Stickland this question and he informed me that just because you had previous c-sections that doesnt disquality you from getting the lap done. Im praying that i could have the lap done the faster recovery sure does sound good to me . He did mention that having a large liver will prevent them from doing the lap surgery but he stated if you do the atkins diet bout month before surgery that will help shrink the liver back to size and may help. trina
