Approved!
Congratulations Tracy! We're practically neighbors-I'm in Wellford.
I'm in Dr. Boar's program at Bariatric Solutions in Greenville. It cost $2500. to get my foot in the door. That covers the behavior mod., nutrition classes, etc. I was shocked to see how many people that were in the program-just waiting for a surgery date.
Initially, I thought it would take 6-8 weeks to get into surgery. I'm clueless now.
How long did it take from your first appointment to this point of having a scheduled surgery date? Thanks and congrats!

Howdy Neighbour. How you liking this snow??
I went to Dr. Bour's consultation and was impressed with their set-up, but just couldn't afford the initial fee, especially since I wasn't sure if I'd be approved under my former insurance, Cigna (they were horrible!).
My first appointment with Dr. Ross was in September of last year, then I fought with Cigna for quite some time. When we moved over to UHC in January, the office got busy on my case again and got me approved in 5 weeks. I have an appointment to see Dr. Ross next Friday, then I start pre-op for my surgery on 22 March. So, yeah, it's moved rather quickly.
They have a very good nutrition and support group program for post-ops, so I'm pretty optimistic. Hopefully, you'll have a date soon and maybe we can meet at the Middle School in Duncan to walk or something.
Go out and make snow angels now! That's where I'm going!
