Does anyone know of local support groups in the upstate that are open to individuals who have WLS w/ out of state docs?

I know of 2 groups who are actively meeting: Foothills WLS Support Group that meets in Easley at a doctor's office on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm, and a "spin-off group that meets in Greenville on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Ryan's on Laurens Road. I believe that group meets at 6pm. Both groups are "open" to anyone who has had WLS. The Easley Group is a quasi post-surgery therapy group lead by an LPC; the Greenville group is more of a social group and family members often attend -- I know they have had guest speakers in the past. Dr, Blair Rowitz, who does WLS in Anderson also has a group and I believe his meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at his office in Anderson. His group is also open to anyone who has had WLS. I've offered to help start a group in the Spartanburg area, but I think they are now doing this surgery at Spartanburg Regional or Mary Black hospital so you might want to check through these sources as well . Let me know if I can do anything else.
