IN SHOCK

OMG IM APPROVED!!!!!! for those who have kept up with my journey or those who have not i will tell you this has beena rollercoaster for me. I have belonged to this site for over 3 years and researched alot that did not prevent me from chickening out the 1st time i had a surgery date in 2001 and for a few reasons i cancelled not only was i not ready but some other issues came up like husband starting a new job location of surgeon and no transportation ect. So i restarted the process once i heard they began doing WLS at our local hospital i had a seminar in october saw the surgeon in november and they submitted to insurance on Nov 25th 2003 i was told my insurance would pay if u met their criteria they wanted 6-12 months of diet history well my diet history sucked i had no records other then xenicol given to me a couple months ago from my pcp so i thought for sure i would be told go on a diet submit 6 months of history then resubmit well today 2 weeks after letter was sent to insurance i got the approval letter i called surgeons office and they havent recieved the approval on their end yet so said as soon as they get it they will call me with a date and set up pre op work . Im in shock never thought it would go this smooth or this fast i think i will faint now

Congatulations! I know you are very excited. I hope all goes well. I'm having surgery 1-23-03. I'm sure you will be soon after. Maybe we will meet at the support meetings. Good luck!

Congratulations!! Good luck on the surgery. I had my surgery back in May of 2003...and it's been great!
