I am in Desperate need of advise for a friend..

Does anyone knows any Dr. in South Carolina that does Lap Band and excepts Medicaid.She is desperate but does not want anything open or rny..I do not know were to begin to help her and she has no access to the internet

lapband and laproscopic are two different things lapband can also be done open if u mean ur friend wont have open and only wants laproscopic she /he will still have openings small ones tho about 4-6 depending on doctor and medicaid pays 100% in most cases but if your friend is over 300 lbs most surgeons in south carolina will not perform the laproscopic procedure spartanburg regional is now performing both surgeries open and laproscopic but not sure on if they take medicaid a required seminar is being held there tonight at 6:30 pm Aug 20th

i not sure but check with Dr.Ben Tribble in Cola SC they take medicaid 803-256-3400 not sure which ones they do good luck .....Judy
