My surgeon's support group has so many people that I feel like a needle in a haystack. I don't have an angel yet, either. Hopefully one will be assigned to me soon or someone will volunteer. I'm just nervous.

Evelyn, Southern Surgical in Lexington has one. Dr. Glen Strickland did my WLS. That may be the one you are talking about. When is your surgery? You should go to Yahoo and click Groups. Register and type in SCBypassBuddies. That is a WONDERFUL online support group. They helped me and still help me when I have questions. I had my surgery May 23 and have had no complications. I have thrown up twice when I have eaten too much, but had to make myself do that. I was just too uncomfortable and did not want to stretch my pouch or cause other problems. E-mail me if you have questions: [email protected] Kay Horton Camden, SC

Hi Evelyn! I think that I will have to join a support group online, being that I live in Orangeburg. I would just hate to have to drive to Columbia every week for one. Who is your surgeon? Mine is Dr. Dalton *****ett. He has a support group also. (Palmetto Baptist Hospital) Feel free to email me any time you would like to chat. I am scheduled for 7/17. Best of health to you. Wanda

There is a support group at Lexington Medical Center that meets every Wednesday I think at 8:00 pm, and this where the surgeons are located. The number to call for seminar is (803) 796-8901.
