Initial Consultation Appt Made

Hi, I'm a new member of the site, but have been using it for research for about a month now. I have my first consultation with the surgeon scheduled for June 25. I've already been given the go-ahead by my PCP, Podiatrist, OB/GYN and former dietitian. Now, for the info-gathering so that I can attempt insurance approval. For any pre-ops, I read that there was an info meeting about surgery on Tuesday, June 17 at 6:00pm in the Auditorium at the Women's Center of Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. I haven't seen anything on their website for events, this was in their newsletter. If anybody plans to go, you may want to double-check with the women's center first. I think it's a free event, and I am planning to go, even though I've probably read up on everything they will teach. Anybody from York county have any advice for a beginner?

I saw that you are hoing to have your surgery at Piedmont. I also had mine there on Oct, 20, 2002. Who is your surgeon?
