State of SC Insurance Study

Does anyone know what the outcome was of the State of SC doing a study to determine if they are going to add WLS to employees insurance benefts?

After much research I was able to obtain the answer myself and am posting it here in case anyone else wondered.   They have extended the study through 2014.   They state that this does NOT mean that they will cover WLS after that time.  So, basically, wait for two more years and it MIGHT happen or might not. 

That is what I had found out as well.  but I don't feel like i can wait any longer on a maybe/no.  It will take our legislators to change what is covered by our plan.  Meanwhile, all those co morbities that the plan does cover that would have to be tested for by C.O.E. (riverside surgical) I am making sure my PCP sent me for my tests. And now i have confirmed my Sleep apnea. One less thing to self pay on.
