Finally Approved

Hi :-)
I finally got my letter today that i am approved for Gastric bypass surgery :-)
The bad thing is since Tricare took so lomg we are moving next month from Fort Polk,LA to Fort jackson SC and i was wondering if there is a doctor you would recomend?

Kesa85,I highly recommend Riverside Surgical Group,which is the SC Obesity Center...I go to the support group there monthly and know many people who have had their surgery with this group.I had gastric bypass 3 weeks ago.Dr Marc Antonetti did mine and he is absolutely amazing.He is an excellent surgeon.There are 3 other surgeons in his group that are also excellent.

Do you know of they take Tricare as insurance ? Do they have a programm fee? What pre tests did u had to do? ;) I read about them and have a good feeling ;)

Hi Kesa!!!! agree with slimmerme55. I am also going through Riverside Surgical & Dr. Marc Antoinette is absolutely amazing.
They do take Tricare. I had to have bloodwork done, endoscopy, psy eval & sleep study. I started this journey in April and my insurance require a 6mth weight mangement program I am on my 3rd month have 3 more to go so my surgery will not be until Nov. I am requesting you as a friend maybe we could talk a little more. Congratulations on being approved!!!!!

Sure :-) look like i will have my surgery on July 31 here in Louisiana before we moving :-) Tricare told me if i wanna get it done in SC i have to do al this steps again and I am not doing this all over again .. So July 31 it is :-) really excited and scared at the same time :-)

Wowwwww that is Awesome!!!! I would callling Riverside & letting them know u are having surgery their but r moving here so u can get set up in their system to see one of the dr for post op appts. My husband is retired military but works on fort jackson we can get together sometime we will talk more through PM

Sure I dont know anyone sown there yet  other then you :-) My husband is from South Carolina and we just bought a House In Jacobs Creek. :-)
