Newbie!

Hello everyone! I've been relatively active on the VSG boards since deciding to have WLS, but just discovered the SC board this morning. I'm in Greenville, hoping to have surgery through Bariatric Solutions. I'm just starting the process, as the insurance Ithat will cover the surgery doesn't kick in until January, but my information session is in early December, and I hope to get started as soon as possible after that.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only upstater here!

 hey! i myself live in here in columbia, so right down the road! this is my first time on the SC board too, so don't feel left out! I am having my VSG surgery 2 weeks from thursday and I'm so nervous, but so excited! Of course my insurance wouldn't cover anything so it all was paid out of pocket, but hopefully it will be totally worth it!

Hi ent0730, I had VSG in August with Dr. Givens.  I live in Elgin but work in Columbia.  How are you doing so far?  It's harder than I thought to find people that had the same procedure from the same doctor.  I would love to hear from you. 

 well i hope that he did a good job since we have the same doctor....I'm on the pre op diet right now which isn't awful, but definitely not great. im having surgery next thursday, so its soon! could you tell me a little about your surgery and recovery time, tips, etc? that would be great. and congrats on the weight loss! i know this is going to be hard, but I'm up for the challenge
