hey! I am brand new to OH. I hope to have RNY in mid-December with Dr. Scott. My paperwork went in last week to BC/BS.

I need to build a support group here, as my closest friends are a couple of states away. I started to blog my weight loss journey today - please let me know someone is out there!

I'm really new to this board, but I plan on going with Bariatric Solutions for my surgery as well. Two of my coworkers had RNYs done through Dr. Bour, but I plan to have VSG. Not sure of my surgeon or date yet since I do my first group session in December (insurance that will cover surgery doesn't kick in until January).

I hope your surgery goes well. Do not forget afterwards to document any symptoms you're having related to back pain, rashes under the abdominal tissue, etc. (with your primary care doctor) so that you'll have a better chance of insurance helping to cover any tissue removal after your weight loss.

Hi.  Dr Scott did my surgery in September and was great.  The office and support team is heads above many and they will do a great job.  Hillcrest is a wonderful hospital and they know our needs.  Welcome to the journey.
