State Employees to get coverage in 2011

BCBS is going to cover RNY or Lap Band for 100 state employees on a first come first serve basis in 2011.

Of course I was sleeved a week ago and paid completely out of pocket. Sigh. By the time this coverage takes affect, I will be 100 lbs down, so I'm going to say it was worth it!

Well BCBS no matter if state funded or not .Will not approve for the sleeve to get done.

I was trying to get the sleeve and I was denied because it is Experimental! Now, I am waiting to get the Full gastric approved.

Apparently they are only going to cover open RNY and lap band :(
